The 2026 AI Automation Grant is built around a simple observation: most businesses are still experimenting with AI, while a small group is already using it to run critical operations. The difference is not access to technology, but execution.
We are partnering with one company to close that gap. Converge Labs will design and deploy a fully integrated agentic system built around a single, high-impact bottleneck. In return, you provide the use case. The outcome is a proprietary AI asset that eliminates hundreds of hours of manual work and allows your business to scale output without scaling cost.
WHO SHOULD APPLY
This is not for ideas. It’s for businesses already feeling real operational friction. The right partner is an established company, typically generating between $500k and $10M in annual revenue, with a core workflow that is currently consuming significant manual time each week, whether in sourcing, lead triage, document analysis, or support. You already have the underlying data, stored in a CRM, inbox, or internal systems, that can be leveraged to train and power an automated solution. More importantly, you’re ready to move beyond manual execution and build systems that run your operations, and you’re open to documenting that transformation through clear, measurable ROI.

If shortlisted, we conduct a deep-dive "Shadow Session" with your team. We map out the "Decision Nodes" of your manual bottleneck to design the exact logic flow your AI Agents will follow.

WHAT WE BUILD
There is no implementation fee and no equity involved. The grant covers the full cost of building and deploying your system. In exchange, the selected partner agrees to participate as a flagship case study, providing anonymized before-and-after performance data and a testimonial that documents the transformation. This allows us to demonstrate, with real evidence, what effective AI implementation looks like in practice—while you retain full ownership of the system and its impact on your business.

What we build is not a generic software license or off-the-shelf tool, but a custom agentic system designed around your exact business logic and workflows. These systems don’t assist, they execute. In practice, that can mean continuously scanning marketplaces to identify opportunities faster than any human team, processing and triaging incoming requests while completing initial actions before a human ever intervenes, or synthesising years of internal data to deliver instant, high-accuracy answers to complex operational questions. Because he knows that once you taste it, he can take a picture of your reaction, show it to the rest of the neighborhood, and bring in 10x more customers. We are that ice cream seller. We know our agentic systems are the best in the industry, and we want a "flagship" partner to prove it.
What happens if we aren't the one business selected?
Every qualified applicant receives an Initial Efficiency Score and a Bottleneck Map. Even if you aren't awarded the full grant, you will walk away with a professional audit of exactly where AI can be most profitably applied to your business.
Who owns the custom AI system once it’s built?
You do. This is a "Work for Hire" arrangement under the grant framework. You retain 100% ownership of the custom logic, the agentic workflows, and the resulting outputs. Our only "ownership" is the right to talk about the project's results as a case study (using anonymized data).
How selective is the program?
We are selecting exactly one company for the full-scale implementation. We aren't looking for the "biggest" company; we are looking for the most ready company. Because this is a high-touch, 90-day intensive build where we sink our own capital and engineering hours into your business, we cannot dilute our focus.
What are you looking for in an application?
Our selection process focuses on three specific pillars: Operational Friction: Is the manual process you want to automate actually a "bottleneck"? We prioritize workflows that, once automated, will provide a measurable, 10x impact on your ability to scale. Data Maturity: Do you have the underlying data (CRM logs, historical emails, structured documentation) required to ground an AI Agent? We can’t build a custom brain if there’s nothing for it to learn from. Collaborative Readiness: Are you ready to let us "under the hood"? The winning partner must be willing to engage in the Shadow Sessions and Logic Mapping to ensure the system actually replaces human decision-making.
How long does the program take?
The typical program duration is about three months, from kickoff to launch. Timelines may vary depending on project scope and complexity.
Is my company data being used to train public AI models?
No. We build on enterprise-grade infrastructure. Your internal data (CRM, emails, documents) is processed within a siloed environment. Unlike "free" consumer AI tools, your data is never fed back into public models like ChatGPT or Claude.
